As a DONA-trained birth doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to expecting Mamas and their families. I deeply value the importance of personal connection and continuous care during this powerful and vulnerable time.
My guiding value as a doula is that each woman has the right to know real facts about her body, the birth process, and the decisions she may be faced with.
During pregnancy, I strive to help birthing people discover their own power to birth their babies. Through education and discussion prenatally, my desire is that my clients begin labor with confidence in the decisions they have made about the birth plan, as well as in their ability to respond to any unexpected situations that may arise.
During labor, I provide a calm presence, knowledgeable and nonintrusive physical guidance, and emotional support through any scenario.
I am a wife, mother of two, avid reader, and a bit of a birth nerd. I found my way into the doula world by way of my son’s unplanned c-section, countless hours of research about birth, and a resulting passion for showing women how powerful they truly are. My own belief in my body and in birth brought about the homebirth VBAC of my daughter.
I attend births in the Rochester, MN area, with virtual birth education and support available in any location. Have questions about my services? Want to strike up a conversation? I would love to get to know you, answer your questions, and let you discover if I am the doula for you. Contact me today to set up a free consultation!
